Bingley Harriers vs Cyclists, and later a party.

Ready for the Off

My first race in a while. Harriers versus Cyclists over in Bingley.

Muddy fields and steep hills. Good fun though.

Rob Jebb won on his cross bike. The rest of the results can be found here.

In the evening we caught up with some old friends. Curry beer and wine were all consumed at Shane’s birthday bash.

I’m planning a Calendar featuring Mountain Bike Girls.

See this singletrack thread for details.

Mail me if you want to be in it. Be quick, though, we’re up to 5 already.

Don’t post in the comments. Part of the idea is that no one knows who you are.

A Ride out with Friends.

Three Riders

Just back from a pleasant sojourn on the mountain bike with friends. Weather not the best, dull grey skies, but we didn’t get soaked.

Kate and I on mountain bikes, and James and Bill on cyclo-cross bikes.

I’d thought of riding my cross bike, but instead opted for my Commencal Meta (or the sofa as James likes to call it).

Bill was good enough to let me have a ride on his Kona Jake. Note to self, riding a cross bike that is too big can result in going over the bars more than once.

Kate and I did some scheming as to how we might win survive Strathpuffer.

Plus we’ve also decided that there will be a forthcoming blogger friends ride. get your name down in the comments if you’re up for that.

Token arty shot. Bill’s Jake

Orange Kona Jake

Time for the pub now to recount stories of fearless descending crashes etc.

:waves: to Kate, I’ll drink your half.
